Reading the comments section in the Star-Bulletin is a revelation of the bigotry that pervades the native Hawaiian sovereignty movement.

Why is anyone surprised? These hate-mongering activists have this down to a fine art. (For both the Black community as well as the native Hawaiian.)

Not only does the Apology Resolution need to be repealed but the Office of Hawaiian Affairs needs to be removed from the state constitution during the next Con-Con. It has done virtually nothing for the people of its charter in its 30 year history and is merely a way to enrich some (the OHA board and staff) at the expense of the very people it is chartered to succor. It is the true source of all the recent mischief.

If Gov. Lingle and her administration (Meaning especially A.G. Mark Bennett) won't support the dismantling of OHA then we should stop pretending these people are true Republicans and see them as the RINOs the really are.

As witnessed by the declining Republican representation in the Big Square Building Gov. Lingle has done more damage for the conservative cause than benefit to it. The next time she wears a "red shirt" she should be labled for what she is and thrown out of the party.
